Greenhouse Starts

As a year round farm, we are constantly planting, harvesting , working our butts off. With the wide variety of produce we have growing I thought this photo was a perfect way to show off some color for Spring. These little guys are almost ready to be transplanted. They share a table with Onions, Amaranth, Collards, Basil, and several varieties of Lettuces. Three types of staging areas for  starts exist on the farm. There are two traditional Greenhouses, two out door areas for colder weather plants like onions and we also have a fabulous tropical Greenhouse, where starts (namely leeks) are planted directly into the soil and are later transplanted outdoors.
